Velvet Vision: Betty Taylor's Springtime Buzz Has Arrived

Velvet Vision is the new synth pop project from Betty Taylor; a singer from Santa Fe, New Mexico. With the project’s first single Springtime Buzz timely released on the 11th March, Betty’s project is flowery and uplifting; sweet but not twee and with a hint of tongue in cheek, depressing honesty.

The single comes in advance to the release of her debut EP out on the 25th March. It’s in the same world as Florist and Caroline Polachek - ultimately electro but with classic elements that plummet it into a world of singer-songwriter excellence. I’ve had the chance to listen to the full EP and it’s an amalgamated soundscape of one liner lyrical nuggets, soaring synths and heart warming samples. Both endearing and exposing, it’s something very special.
